German retailer to double outlets in China

BEIJING, April 23 (UPI) -- German retailer Metro Cash & Carry International said it plans to threefold its outlets in China in the incoming quaternary years.

"We want to modify in the 35 cities in which we already hit a proximity to process our current network. However, as China is very homogeneous in cost of economic development, we are centering on threesome very prosperous areas: The Bohai Bay area, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta," said Tino Zeiske, chair of Metro Jinjiang Cash & Carry Co. Ltd., China Daily reportable Saturday.

"We've also noticed that the Hesperian part of China is growing faster than before," Zeiske said.

By 2015 the consort expects to hit 100 outlets in China.

"If Asiatic people hit more money to spend, they module hit a choice (of products). And, as for Metro, we module be able to substance our professed customers more combative products by providing differentiated solutions," he added.
